Get rid of Flies

My back door is always left open, which means I always have disgusting flies coming into my kitchen. I found this thing on Pinterest, that I though was a way to make women on Pinterest do something stupid,  but I was desperate and tried it. I filled a ziplock baggy with water, and added 4 penny's. I hung it above my stove. I have only seen 2 flies in my kitchen in the last MONTH!!! I can't believe this trick works. Since it worked so well for me I though I would share it with you.

A BIG DAY!!!

Today I got on the scale and weighed 140 pounds. I can't believe it!!! I have not seen 140 pounds since a week after I got married, 8 years ago!!! I am so happy. I have worked hard. I have overcome food temptation, and today its paid off. I know that by next week I will be in the 130's I know that when I take my pictures I will see a difference. The last month seemed to fly by so quickly, I hope that I did enough to see a difference!! 3 Days, till pictures!

Greek Yogurt Pancakes

I found this recipe HERE. From Food.com. I liked it, and most of all I liked the amount of calories in one pancake. One pancake was only 32 calories! That is amazing!!!

 I changed the recipe a little. I used whole wheat flour. We also added blueberries. I think it would have been better with a flavored Greek Yogurt. We used plain, and they were a little sour.

If you are looking for a super healthy breakfast this is it, they were great with a little syrup. You have to add a topping, you can't eat these plain. I am happy we tried them, and I will make them again, next time I am going to substitute the sugar for honey.


Wednesday Workout

This morning, I woke up and I did NOT want to workout!!! I was dragging, the last couple days have been exhausting. I felt like laying in my bed for another 2 hours. But, I dragged myself out, and sat down on the computer, and pulled up Pinterest. Then I thought, this is not going to get me to my goal. I have to keep in mind what is important to me!!! Today I weighed exactly 141.0 That means tomorrow I can be at 140.

My workout today - 

I used 8 pound weights and a chair.

My life Changed. . .

Yesterday, was one of the hardest days I have had. Yesterday, I put my baby girl to sleep. Her name was Princess and she was a 6 year old Doberman. I loved this dog, so much. She was really the nicest dog you have ever met. She was so calm and sweet with my kids. We miss her so much, I miss her so much. Out of everyone in my family I have taken her death the hardest. I am so sad. She was my baby girl. We had her since she was 6 weeks old. She was not a dog, she was a member of our family.

She was very sick, she had so many health issues, we knew it was her time to return to heaven. We did not want her to suffer anymore. Before we took her, I got to spend about 10 minutes of alone time with her, we laid on the grass together, and we talked. I am so grateful for the special movements that I had with her.

My husband and I took her to the vet. I am so grateful that I had him by my side. I will never forget, holding her sweet head, hearing her take her last breath and the last words I whispered to her.

Today I made a movie to remember her life. I don't care if anyone does not like it, I made it for me. This video does have music to it, I am not trying to break copy write laws, I just love these songs for these pictures.
